The Anne Arundel Watermen’s Association Holiday Basket Tree -- Plans are in the works for the 2nd Annual Holiday Basket Tree in Deale Maryland. The tree will be assembled after Thanksgiving and remain up until after the new year. The baskets are to be painted upside down, with no attachments. Nautical themes are encouraged and there will be a section to honor watermen past and active, and those who have passed away.

The Anne Arundel Watermen’s Association benefits from the baskets sold on the tree. The Association consists of local commercial watermen who make their living harvesting seafood from local waterways. The proceeds from this event allow the Association to preserve their heritage and way of life, as well as an annual scholarship, donation to arts lab and the Deale Merchants Association.
